It's Haute in Here!

Summer is harsh and uncompromising. She never pretends to hide her true propensities. She never differentiates between the rich and the poor, the mighty or the weak, the valiant or the craven. She is a true symbol of realism in our lives. She reminds us of our happier days, which we often take for granted. Here is a tribute to the spirit of Summer:

In the fiery hot summers,

My mind drifts away

To the far cooler lands

Where spring is here to stay

Take me oh take me

To these magical lands

Of chirping birds

And cool silver sands

Azure skies spanning wide,

Scarlet buds glistening with dew

Cascading falls gushing down

Verdant meadows in every view

A warm breeze rustles my hair,

Wakes me up from my illusion

As the sly mirage fades away

I close my eyes in oblivion ...

Wonderfully written....I think you should take up poetry as your side profession :-) Your imagination is superb and your attempt to put that imagination in words is just perfect!!

Hi Betu,
Maa was moved with your power of imagination and that too on a casual topic of Summer. I do agree with Sameer that you MUST specialise in Poetry but in the same Chappel Hill Uni so that he gets a company to drive and back . Isn't it a great Idea ???
