There's nothing called a free lunch! Somebody has a dent in their pocket to pay for it. Do we not know this for a fact? Then why do we keep wasting our resources that are apparently plentiful like Air, Water, Food, and Energy? Why then, do we disrespect the economics of abundance? Historically, the economic theory is dominated by unlimited human wants and limited resources. But the new age economists argue that abundance and scarcity are better defined by the physical ability of human beings to consume.
We cannot consume unlimited air, water, food, and energy at once. However, once we have our share, why do we become so self-absorbed, so as to not care of the scarcity affecting the world? We live in a world where we all have to make choices of one thing against another. Why can we not make the right choices to keep the air pollution free, conserve water and energy and not waste food?
Human beings are a part of the earth's ecological cycle of life. We unwittingly affect the delicate ecological balance by pollution, consumption, wastage, and even technological developments. If we do not take the steps need to conserve our natural resources and repair the attacks to our ecosystem, our very existence will be threatened.
Let us not take our resources for granted. Let's not wait for someone else to do it first. And most importantly, let's use the earth's natural resources wisely. Our future depends on it.
I pray to the lord to grant me grace,
To breathe the air as fresh as dew,
To feel the playful zephyr on my face
Laden with rose scent, when the day is new
I pray to the lord to grant me grace,
To sip the water as pure as snow
To splash the droplets of the cool stream
On the face of my innocent beau
I pray to the lord to grant me grace,
To eat the food as fresh as daisy
To gain the strength I need to live
To work hard and not be lazy
I pray to the lord to grant me grace,
To save energy in advance
To live my life to the fullest
To prevent wastage on every chance
