I have a very interesting relationship with my cuz. As a rule of thumb, whenever there is a debatable topic up for discussion, we almost always have opposing viewpoints. However, there are rare occasions when we find ourselves agreeing with each other... and then we are a formidable force to be reckoned with :) On one such precious instance, we unanimously agreed on the topic of misplaced outrage. In response, he posted a poem written by Rabindranath Tagore that is worth re-posting -
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high,
Where knowledge is free,
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments,
by narrow domestic walls,
Where words come out from the depth of truth,
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection,
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way,
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit,
Where the mind is led forward by thee,
Into ever-widening thought and action,
Into that heaven of freedom, my father, let my country awake.
What an evolved and enlightened mindset ... People do not think or talk like that anymore...
